Well it’s officially Dec. 21, 2012 (12/21/12), I looked out of the window and it’s a gloomy rainy Vancouver morning. It’s supposed to be the end but I’m happy that it’s not. Surprisingly as the clock turned to midnight on Dec. 21, I was pretty calm if it was indeed to be the end of the world.
I was online, and then later did my laundry and then slept. Now I’m awake and I’m going out to watch a movie. The day hasn’t ended yet so maybe the world will end later. But honestly I wish it won’t and I thank God that he hasn’t yet pulled the trigger on us. There are still a lot of things I want to do, places to see and most of all movies to watch.
The insightful thing about this Mayan calendar prophesy is that it provided me with an exact date for our end and it forced me to admit that as much as life is not going so well for me or as interesting and exciting as I would like it to be, I still want to live. I don’t want to die. I realized that as long as I’m alive, I can still change my life. That means December 21, 2012 turned out to be a great day after all, it’s the day that we are all given a second chance.
